15th Asian Men Volleyball Championship 2009 in Pilipinas

The event's held at Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Manila, the Philippines.

This's a picture of main post office in Manila. Not far from Rizal park.

It's the third time I joined this tournament! This time in Manila, the Philippines which isn't far from Thailand so I made my flight and hotel reservation without any reluctant. I came on the last three days of the event.

Australia's the latest title holder in Indonesia. Others which possibly to be the best team're China, Japan, S. Korea and up&rising Iran. But, I came for Korean team. Although their two key players like Moon S. M. and Park C. W. were absent, they're still one of favorite and capable to take the title.

My favorite player, Lee Sun Kyu, played as middle blocker. He didn't show up in 2009 world league and that made me a bit worry whether he's got retired or not. Luckily, he's still here! I saw he played first time four years ago in Supan buri, Thailand. Then, saw him agian last year in Nakorn Rachasima, Thailand.

I saw he played great performance in latest Asian Games 2006 in Doha, Quatar and Korean took the gold medal. Lee Sun Kyu's one of key players there.

Hopefully, he'll serve for Korean team for next few years, at least, he should go to Hong Kong this December for East ASian Games 2009 and next year to China for Asian Games 2010! I'll be there.

In the last day of event, Japan finally beat Iran and took the title. Korean powerovered China and took the bronze medal.
